Cecilie Bahnsen Reimagines the ASICS GEL-QUANTUM 360

By GQ·April 15, 2026·1 min read

Cecilie Bahnsen is extending her partnership with ASICS, moving away from the technical 'dad shoe' tropes that have dominated the market to deliver a couture-inflected take on the GEL-QUANTUM 360 VII. The collaboration ditches traditional lacing for a slip-on Mary Jane construction, arriving in monochromatic black and a striking floral pink. It’s a continuation of Bahnsen’s mission to bridge the gap between Scandinavian high-fashion romanticism and technical sportswear performance. While previous iterations leaned on the GT-2160, this shift to the GEL-QUANTUM silhouette provides a more robust, cushioned foundation for Bahnsen’s delicate design language. By stripping the model of its athletic utility and replacing it with a refined, feminine silhouette, the duo is successfully carving out a niche that feels distinct from the usual hype-cycle collaborations. The collection is set to launch via Bahnsen’s channels on April 18, 2026, with a global rollout to follow.
