Erykah Badu & The Alchemist Drop Joint Album 'Before The World Blows'

It has been 16 years since Erykah Badu delivered a full studio LP with 2010's *New Amerykah Part Two (Return Of The Ankh)*, and a decade since her 2015 mixtape *But You Caint Use My Phone*. The wait is officially over. Badu has linked up with rap production royalty The Alchemist for their collaborative project, *Before The World Blows*. The rollout started brewing back in March 2025 when Badu first revealed the pair were cooking, followed by the arrival of "Next To You" last summer and "Witch Doctor" earlier this month. As Stereogum reports, the record lands with a stacked guest lineup, featuring appearances from Steve Lacy, Earl Sweatshirt, Thundercat, and more across the run. Badu's vocal touch over Uncle Al's dusty loops is pure gold. Check it out below.
