Hmm... Blake Proehl

Former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Blake Proehl pivoting to slick pop wasn’t on my bingo card, but look at the board. Dude blew out his knee, picked up a guitar, went viral singing to his grandma, and now his *Hearts Don’t Break* EP just touched down. The real radar ping? Spotify slid “Hearts Don’t Break Like That” straight onto New Music Friday, while New York’s The Highway just tossed him into rotation. Athletes making music usually makes me wince, but Blake’s actually got the vocal chops and MCA backing to make real noise. Keep tabs.
