Hold up. Apple Music slid Joe Leone’s “Future” right into New in R&B at #28, so obviously my ears perked up. If you don't know the name yet, do your homework: Eric Benét signed him to JBR Creative Group, and this Burbank church kid already co-wrote J. Brown’s Billboard No. 1 smash “True Love.” He’s toured with Tamar Braxton and October London, but now his solo lane is picking up serious steam. Real instruments, actual vocal chops, zero gimmicks. Keep both eyes on him before everybody else catches the wave.
