Hmm... Tala Silva

Look, when an independent DIY artist jumps into Spotify’s Fashionably Early playlist at number 10, my radar blips immediately. Tala Silva’s new track “Beach Park” earned that slot clean. The Chicago-based singer-songwriter literally started out tracking vocals straight into Apple headphone mics before leveling up her setup, blending warm R&B melodies with hazy indie-pop bounce. She's been grinding independently through projects like All Over Again, but this latest editorial nod proves the gatekeepers are finally paying attention to her bedroom-built sound. Don't sleep.
