Meek Mill Flips His Legendary 2012 Intro on "Nightmares to Dreams"

No cap, Meek Mill's 2012 intro is holy ground. If you've ever been in a gym, a locker room, or a club when that beat dropped, you know the energy. Now, according to Complex, the Philly rep is revisiting his undisputed masterpiece with a new independent release on his Dream Chasers imprint called "Nightmares to Dreams." Instead of building up slowly, this version flips the script by putting the menacing, high-octane half of the beat right at the front. The drums hit heavy immediately, forcing Meek to tap into that classic, hungry flow from his early mixtape run. It’s his first new output since he linked with G Herbo last year on "Survivor’s Guilt," following up his 2024 mixtape Heathenism and the 2023 Rick Ross collab Too Good to Be True. It has been nearly five years since his last studio album, Expensive Pain, but he sounds like he's gearing up for a run. Trying to recreate the magic of a certified street anthem is always a gamble.
