In Rotation: Saint Harison

By Ellis·July 10, 2026·1 min read

Saint Harison was sitting in Los Angeles trying to write an EP about his Southampton upbringing, but a messy breakup blew the concept to pieces. The result is *Ghosted*, a project born entirely out of romantic fallout. Born Harrison Fisher, the UK singer moved to LA three years ago and immediately found himself in rooms with producers who cut records for Beyoncé and Rihanna. He openly admits he didn't feel worthy at first. You can hear him fighting through that initial imposter syndrome on the mic, pushing his range to prove he belongs. He sings with a heavy, unvarnished tone that traces straight back to his grandfather, Bryan Fisher. His granddad fronted a 1960s group called Bryan Fisher and the Radiers, and he put a seven-year-old Harrison onto Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Dean Martin. Those raw, storied voices became the blueprint. A massive chunk of modern UK R&B feels overly sanitized, heavily engineered to slide seamlessly into a moody background playlist without disturbing the vibe. Saint Harison actually bleeds on the track. When you listen to "minute," he drags his vocal runs slightly behind the pocket, letting the snare hit before he finishes the phrase. The bassline just walks underneath him while he figures out the damage in real time. He builds these tracks by writing 20-minute stream-of-consciousness drafts alone in a room until the core emotion reveals itself. It is a grueling way to make music, but the payoff is undeniable. The traditional gatekeepers are recognizing the pedigree. Legacy R&B stations like WBLS in New York and WMMJ in Bethesda just threw him into heavy rotation. The streaming algorithms are finally catching the wave too. Apple Music just placed "minute" on their R&B Now tier, and Spotify bumped "daffodil" up to the number two slot on YAMS. They know a vocalist when they hear one. He has the voice, the history, and the pen. Hit play below.
